| Subsequently, despite the effects of the Asian Currency Crisis, PU demand in the ASEAN region has grown steadily, and because high growth is forecast to continue, the importance of the ASEAN region as a market is increasing further. |
| A decision was made to upgrade the Singapore office to a branch office with the capacity to undertake marketing activities, in order that it be even more closely aligned with the ASEAN region and be able to respond in a timely manner to the requests of customers. Approval was obtained from the Singapore Government and the Singapore branch office started marketing activities on September 1, 2004. |
